eBaseball: Pro Spirit 2026 is out on PlayStation 5 and Steam.

Konami Digital Entertainment released the new baseball game on July 16, marking the first entry in the newly rebranded Pro Spirit franchise. The game carries a suggested retail price of $59.99.

Pro Spirit 2026 includes current 2026 Japanese professional baseball roster data, incorporating newly drafted rookies, international signings, and returning players. The title runs on Unreal Engine alongside Konami’s proprietary eBaseball Engine, which the publisher says delivers more realistic player motion, 3D audio soundscapes, and improved commentary compared to earlier entries.

eBaseball brings back its World-Baseball-Classic-themed mode, which recreates international competition play. Konami noted that the mode may not be available in all countries or regions, and said the overall title itself is also restricted in certain markets. The publisher added that Traditional Chinese language support will arrive through a day-one update patch, and that some Japan-specific terminology — including certain stadium, player and team names — will remain untranslated in the English release.

Two marquee modes anchor eBaseball’s release. Star Player, the franchise’s long-running career mode, lets players create and guide an athlete from rising prospect to established star, developing skills, making career decisions, and pursuing team championships across multiple seasons. Hakkyu no Kiseki brings the designated hitter system into high school baseball for the first time in the mode, including support for a starting pitcher/DH rule, and gives players a choice between tactical team management, direct in-game control, or playing as a single athlete.

Beyond those two headline modes, eBaseball offers a broader lineup that includes exhibition games, a season mode, a mode called Spirits, live championship and live scenario modes, a grand prix mode, home run contests, and team and roster editing tools with the ability to share custom edits. Konami said the PlayStation 5 version requires an active PlayStation Plus subscription to access certain features.

Players who purchase the new Pro Spirit game early will receive usage rights to Samurai Japan 2026’s Shohei Ohtani, content a Konami representative said would be available initially as an early-purchase bonus but will be available later through other in-game methods.

eBaseball’s release continues Konami’s long-running Pro Yakyu Spirits series, which has served as one of the primary Japanese professional baseball simulation franchises for years. Player data for the title was compiled independently by Kyodo News Digital Co. and Japan Baseball Data Inc., with Konami noting that figures may differ from official league records. Stadium signage reproduced in-game reflects data from the 2025 professional baseball pennant season.

A launch trailer for Pro Spirit 2026 has been posted to YouTube, and more information is available on the game’s official website.
