Predecessor revives Agora map from shuttered MOBA Paragon

Omeda Studios today revealed new details about the latest update for its free-to-play MOBA title, Predecessor. In addition to a new hero and other changes, the studio is rolling out the Agora map for a limited time. This map recreates the map of the same name from Paragon, the game for which Predecessor is a spiritual successor. Update 1.7 launches on July 22.

Paragon was a free-to-play MOBA from Epic Games that never received a full release, and the studio shut development down permanently in 2018. Omeda sprang from a desire to keep Paragon alive in some form, using assets from Paragon that Epic offered. For Predecessor, Omeda rebuilt the Agora map from Paragon in Unreal Engine 5, and it will be available for all users for a limited time in Predecessor Labs.
