Zenless Zone Zero is an urban fantasy ARPG from HoYoverse.

HoYoverse’s Zenless Zone Zero beta test offers enhanced combat and Hollow exploration

HoYoverse has opened sign-ups for a closed beta test for Zenless Zone Zero, an urban fantasy action role-playing game.

The ARPG from HoYo verse is the next game from the company that gave us games such as Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis and Honkai: Star Rail.

The new closed beta, dubbed the amplifying test, promises to introduce players to an array of fresh content and significant gameplay enhancements across PC, iOS, and Android platforms.

The company was previously known as MiHoYo, which began when three computer science students from Shanghai Jiao Tong University — Cai “Hugh” Haoyu, Liu “Forrest” Wei, and Luo Yuhao — teamed up. Their biggest hit so far was Genshin Impact, which debuted in 2020.

In the world of Zenless Zone Zero, players will find themselves thrust into a post-apocalyptic narrative where modern civilization has succumbed to supernatural cataclysms known as the Hollows. Rising from the ashes, the city of New Eridu stands as humanity’s last bastion against the encroaching darkness.

As a Proxy, players will embark on a quest to confront enigmatic adversaries and unveil the mysteries shrouding New Eridu.

The amplifying test will host novelties including the introduction of a new character, Zhu Yuan, and a fresh faction — the New Eridu Public Security’s Criminal Investigation Special Response Team. Alongside, players can anticipate encountering the latest Bangboo models, equipped with innovative combat techniques such as Bangboo chain attacks. And players will encounter the combat scenario, Shiyu Defense, and an array of combat missions accessible through the revamped Hollow Deep Dive System (HDD).

Enhancements include an upgraded HDD System, facilitating more efficient exploration of the Hollows through the optimized TV Wall (Hollow Board). With dynamic combat designs and intensified Rally Missions and Hollow Zero encounters, both newcomers and seasoned players can expect more excitement. Moreover, the urban landscape of New Eridu offers an array of vibrant city life events and enhanced guidance to ensure players immerse fully in their residential experiences.

Aspiring adventurers can secure their spot in the amplifying test by signing up on PC, iOS, and Android platforms through the official website.
