Ubisoft’s acquisition of Brawlhalla studio Blue Mammoth Games boosts its online stable

Ubisoft acquired Atlanta-based developer Blue Mammoth Studio yesterday, adding more multiplayer online expertise to its portfolio. As part of the deal, it also now owns Blue Mammoth’s online Super Smash Bros.-esque game Brawlhalla.

“The team at Blue Mammoth Games is expert at developing and running scalable, competitive, multiplayer online games, and they’ll be a great addition to Ubisoft’s network of studios,” Ubisoft NCSA president Laurent Detoc said in a statement.
