New Disney Infinity playset features Marvel and 4-player action

Forget the Force — remember the superheroes.

Disney revealed details for a new playset for Disney Infinity 3.0 today. Called Marvel Battlegrounds, the new adventure allows players to use any Marvel Disney Infinity figure. It’s also the first to support four-player co-op. In past Marvel playsets, you could only use super heroes related to the setting (so no Captain America in the Guardians of the Galaxy playset). Marvel Battlegrounds comes out in March 2016. So far, the focus of Disney Infinity 3.0 centered on Star Wars, but this gives players a chance to dig out all of those Marvel figures they bought last year for Disney Infinity 2.0.

The new playset features new figures, including Hulkbuster Iron Man, Ultron, and a new version of Captain America. Disney says it will announce new Marvel Battlegrounds figures in the coming months.

Disney Infinity 3.0 is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U,  PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, iOS, and Android. Our review called 3.0 bigger and better than its predecessors.
