340K attend Gamescom consumer show in Germany to play Xbox One and PlayStation 4

The European equivalent of the Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show drew a huge number of gamers to Cologne, Germany to check out the next generation in action.

Over 340,000 people attended the Gamescom consumer show to play games like Titanfall and Destiny on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles, according to Gamesindustry International. That attendance number is up 23 percent from 275,000 in 2012.
