You can already preorder Nintendo’s mysterious new NX system

We know nothing about Nintendo’s new gaming hardware other than its codename, NX, but you can already preorder it. That’s kind of nuts.

Nintendo surprised everyone yesterday by announcing a major partnership with mobile publisher DeNa. It also announced that it’s working on a new dedicated gaming platform but didn’t reveal an awful lot about it. While Nintendo’s push to mobile is probably the most interesting news for many people — Nintendo’s stock rose by 28 percent in the wake of the announcement — game retailers will be more keen to hear that Nintendo’s still interested in the dedicated console market. After all, that’s where stores make their money.
