You may have trouble playing games or signing onto Xbox Live.
Microsoft’s online gaming service is down across Xbox One, Xbox 360, and other devices, according to the Xbox Live Status site. On social media, dozens of people are complaining that they cannot access certain games, apps, and other content on their Xbox devices. While some people are encountering errors attempting to get logged in at all, others are having issues specifically booting up games. This downtime is also preventing video apps like Netflix, Amazon Video, and Hulu from working.
On the Xbox Live Status page, Microsoft confirms that core services are down as well as purchases and content usage. At 10:45 a.m. Pacific time, the company noted that it is working to address the problems.
“Our engineers and developers are actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems finding previously-purchased content or purchasing new content,” the company wrote. “Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience.”
This is the second time this month that Xbox Live has gone down. The service also went offline unexpectedly once in February. These issues come as Microsoft continues to advertise Xbox Live as the fastest and most reliable gaming service, which is possibly still true considering player complaints about slow download times on PlayStation Network. Sony’s competing platform also has had a number of its own outages so far this year.
