Arbitrum Gaming Ventures invested $10 million in a group of Web3 gaming companies a couple of months ago that included Hyve. And I asked the parties involved what the interest was about: they said it was game discovery.

That’s a familiar problem, and one that they believe is ripe for disruption, particularly in mobile games. It turns out that this turned into an interesting conversation with Hyve about modern game platforms, the implications of Epic Games’ victory over Apple in its antitrust case, and the forgotten value of making every game playable across the web. And we also got a good download on what AGV’s transparency for investments will look like.
