How Unreal Tournament bots passed the Turing test

A video game may have laid the groundwork for true artificial intelligence (A.I.).

What if “bots” (computer-controlled enemies in first-person shooters) could disguise themselves as human? Would that not pass Turing’s test, which measures A.I. by virtue of imitating human behavior?
