Nintendo is working on a movie with Sony based on The Legend of Zelda. I love Zelda, but I have a hard time imagining what a film based on the games could look like.

I imagine other fans are in a similar situation. That’s why the below infographic from Interpret’s Good Entertainment Group is so interesting. They reached out to verified members of its Good Entertainment and Good Gamer Group that expressed some level of Zelda fandom. This meant a sample size of 361 members across United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.

They were asked what they thought a Zelda movie had to get right, polling questions regarding characters, tone, and even the desired movie rating.

I find myself nodding with a lot of this, although I’m a bit surprised that 77% of those asked want a PG-13 rating for a Zelda movie. Even the “darker” games in the franchise don’t have the kind of content that would warrant one. Only a couple of titles from the series, Majora’s Mask and Twilight Princess, have an ESRB rating of T for Teen instead of E for Everyone. I think that PG makes more sense for Zelda.
