The DeanBeat: A few days without game journalism and a few days without gaming

Last week I went on my summer vacation for a few days. It was a rare victory for those of you who would like to see me work less and play fewer games as well. (Yes, I know you’re out there, and you’re tired of hearing me brag that I wrote 10 stories in a day.)

You might not have noticed I wasn’t working, as I scheduled stories to run just about every day. I had a lot of interviews in reserve from my splendid trip to Barcelona. I even scheduled a DeanBeat column in the form of a transcript of Jordan Mechner’s talk at Gamelab in Barcelona. (This is why I haven’t skipped a DeanBeat column in eons.)
