Sui, the Layer 1 blockchain and smart contract platform initiated by Mysten Labs, has announced a collaboration with Google Cloud to advance Web3 innovation.
Headed by the core research team behind Facebook’s Libra and Diem projects, Sui said that it will partner with Google on addressing key challenges in the Web3 landscape, including security, scalability, developer tools and user experiences.
Under the partnership, several key initiatives have been unveiled. Google Cloud has integrated Sui blockchain data into BigQuery public datasets, providing developers with robust analytics tools to unlock new insights and innovative decentralized applications (dApps).
And utilizing Google Cloud’s generative AI platform, Vertex AI, Sui has trained it on the Move programming language, empowering Web3 developers to debug and augment code generation. Mysten Labs has also developed a new AI-based code auditing tool that identifies security vulnerabilities in Rust, Move, Typescript, and Solidity, bolstering security efforts in code development.
Sui’s zkLogin technology, a fundamental cryptographic primitive, bridges the gap between traditional (Web2) and decentralized (Web3) applications. Leveraging OAuth credentials from Google and other trusted Web2 platforms, zkLogin enables frictionless authentication of crypto wallets and dApps on Sui.
Since there are a lot of barriers to getting ordinary users to try Web3 games, Sui and Google want to make the onboarding process as simple as possible.
Sui has leveraged Google Cloud’s globally scalable infrastructure to power the security and high transaction throughput of its network, ensuring high performance and seamless capacity to scale.

Google Cloud said it is dedicated to empowering the Sui developer community through its Web3 Startup Program, offering resources such as Google Cloud credits, access to Discord channels with Web3 experts, foundation grants, and global events, all aimed at accelerating the development of innovative applications on Sui.
The collaboration between Sui and Google Cloud marks a significant step forward in advancing Web3 innovation, promising to revolutionize the landscape of decentralized applications and user experiences, the companies said.
