Rockstar’s beloved Red Dead Redemption gets Xbox One backward compatibility

Saddle up, Xbox One owners.

Rockstar Games revealed today that Red Dead Redemption, the open world cowboy game that originally came out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010, will become available via the Xbox One’s backward compatibility service on July 8. Red Read Redemption was one of the most popular games of its era, shipping over 14 million copies. It was also one of the most requested games for the Xbox One backward compatibility program, which makes Xbox 360 title playable on the newer console.
