Rocket League on Xbox One won’t allow cross-platform matchmaking

Xbox One gamers won’t be playing Rocket League alongside their PlayStation 4 and PC counterparts.

The popular driving-and-soccer hybrid — announced for Xbox One at last night’s Game Awards — won’t feature cross-platform matchmaking between XBox One players and those on other systems. At present, PlayStation 4 and PC gamers can play the game together on the same servers, but developer Psyonix explained via Twitter that Xbox One gamers won’t be part of that same community.
