Riot Games revealed details for an upcoming Closed Beta for 2XKO — the 2v2 tag-based fighting game set in the League of Legends Runeterra universe.
Starting September 9, 2025, the 2XKO Closed Beta will be available to fighting game fans around the world on Windows PC, followed by future availability on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and X at a later date.
The game will fully support cross-platform progression, as well as cross-platform inventory, allowing players to start on PC and then switch over to a preferred console platform once available with no lapse in progress or inventory.

Once the 2XKO Closed Beta starts on September 9, Riot plans to keep the game online and servers running through launch.
Existing 2XKO fans who played the game’s earlier public play tests, Alpha Lab 1 and/or 2, on PC or console platforms will automatically have access to the 2XKO Closed Beta on PC. Newer global players can join throughout the beta by signing up at 2xko.riotgames.com/beta.
Additionally, Riot Games announced it will bring a brand new playable champion to the Evo showfloor in Las Vegas, taking place August 1-3. League of Legends and Arcane fan-favorite champion “Vi” will be playable in the 2XKO booth at Evo, and will also be available to play in the 2XKO Closed Beta.
2XKO is Riot Games’ upcoming free-to-play 2v2 team-based fighting game, set in a uniquely modern expression of League of Legends’ Runeterra. With new innovation and support of the full fighting game ecosystem, 2XKO is built to satisfy the most passionate players in the fighting game community (FGC) and reach players who are new to the genre.
