Quick review: Blood Stone.

Spoilers or so:

Just finished it and I love and kinda dislike this game. First of all, hate the Matrix Reloaded style ending (It freaking says "James Bond will return" in the credits). Also hate how Bond barely freaking talks in this game. Don't remember any noticeable 1 liner or even any lines of dialogue outside of cut scenes in which Craig's lines are pretty wooden anyhow.

Anyone else notice how homo Bond seems this game? It's really strange. Like every instance something might get a little sexy, Bond just shows no interest… A real downer here. I blame activision I guess. I'm really scared at what direction the next bond movie will take >.>"

And there is so many things wrong with Bond being on his freaking phone 80% of the game (It's basically the Detective Vision of this game) like some kind of punk hipster, I see no reason to go deeply into that here. A little more tech would have been nice or even a contact lense with all that tech would make more sense. Beats a Sony Errission that bond freakens covers the screen with his thumb.

Also I notice no Bond music at all in this game. Also no 'barrel camera' sequence or even 'Bond, James Bond' moments.

The game does portray Daniel Craig's body movement fairly well, and the melee moves are always satisfying. For better or worse this game feels like a sequel to Quantum of Solace without basically any drama at all.

The few minigames are also pretty cool. They look like the UI from QoS and they are simple enough to do (cough alpha protocol hacking). Speaking of which, the menus are also noticeably slick compare to a lot of modern games.

So ya, solid shooter, but a really bad 'Bond game'.

So pick this up if you are a fan of Craig's Bond movies, but I should say a rental is a must because the campaign is not too long (6 hours?) and multiplayer is pretty much already dead.

This did make me dig up my Everything or Nothing game though. Now that is a true 'bond game'. Still haven't beaten co-op yet. That game is hard.
