Quantic Dream said it has launched the second closed beta test of Spellcasters Chronicles is now live on PC via Steam.
Servers opened today at 7 a.m. Pacific time and will remain available until February 2 at 1 a.m. Pacific.
This new test phase builds directly on player feedback gathered during the first Closed Beta in December 2025 and introduces new content, quality-of-life features, and technical improvements ahead of the game’s early access launch on February 26, 2026.
“Closed Beta 2 marks an important new chapter for Spellcasters Chronicles,” said Gregorie Diaconu, game director at Quantic Dream, in a statement. “Opening the first portal to Ashkenon taught us a lot, not just about our systems, but about how players move, experiment, and express themselves within the game.”
Diaconu added, “This second beta is about listening to those lessons and weaving them back into the experience, strengthening performance, refining gameplay, and expanding the magical mayhem with new spells, summons, and the Nordic Shores of Valm. We’re excited to invite players back and continue shaping this journey together as we move closer to Early Access.”

Watch the Nordic Shores of Valm Arena Reveal here:
Closed Beta 2 introduces the Nordic Shores of Valm, the second arena to become playable since the reveal of Spellcasters Chronicles. Set along a rugged coastline scarred by an ancient clash between Valmide forces and creatures from the outer realms, the Nordic Shore overlooks the remnants of a forgotten war, from shattered ships and colossal weapons to the remains of abyssal beasts scattered across the cliffs.
Built around a unique five-lane layout, the arena favors ground-level engagements, while winding caves, narrow paths, and coastal routes offer multiple opportunities for flanking, retreats, and ambushes.
