Boutique gaming services studio PTW announced today that it intends to acquire the assets and businesses of indie developer Ghostpunch Games for $13 million in an all-cash transaction. Ghostpunch has worked as a partner studio to multiple triple-A development companies, including 2K, Bethesda Game Studios and Gearbox. Both companies expect the transaction to close in September.
According to PTW, the studio plans to integrate Ghostpunch’s expertise with middleware technology and its own QA knowledge to create AI-based QA automations for clients. It also plans to synergize Ghostpunch’s art integration with its own AI art-creation technology.
