Older PlayStation 4 games can look better on Pro via forward compatibility

Backward compatibility? That’s so 2000.

Sony announced during its New York City event that certain older PlayStation 4 games will look better on the new Pro version of the console. This is through a system Sony is calling “forward comparability,” which will update older games to run better and feature new graphical capabilities on the Pro.

At the event, Sony showed first-party games like Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (which came out earlier this year) and the upcoming Horizon: Zero Dawn running on the Pro.
