Nintendo President spells out how Pokémon generated big financial results

Nintendo reported better-than-expected growth in its third fiscal quarter ended December 31 yesterday, and today, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima credited the growth of the Pokémon brand during the quarter.

“Our basic strategy remains unchanged,” Kimishima said. “We seek to expand the number of people who have access to Nintendo [intellectual property].”
