Blizzard nixes plans to use real names on its official forums. After enduring colossal uproar — both on and off the its forums — company cofounder and Chief Executive Officer Mike Morhaime stated that "at this time, real names will not be required for posting on official Blizzard forums." I'm sure we can all breathe a sigh of relief now, if not for that subtle "at this time" clause within Morhaime's post.
Ready for a return to Ferelden? BioWare announces Dragon Age 2 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Players can resume the sweeping tale of fantasy and action via Hawke, a new character who plays a pivotal role within the kingdom of Ferelden. Ubisoft forsees a 3D-enabled television in every household within three years. "The truth is I think it is a technology that's coming. We can't ignore it. It'll start slowly this year," said Ubisoft U.K. marketing head Murray Pannel. "But like HDTV I wouldn't rule out the fact that this will be installed in everyone's living room in three year's time, and for us to be in a position to have content that could really look absolutely amazing in 3D."
