New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game coming from Bayonetta creator Platinum Games

Platinum Games is taking on another classic ‘80s franchise.

The Japanese developer — which recently brought us Transformers: Devastation — is now working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, reports Gematsu. A rating for the game (for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC) appeared in Brazil earlier last month, and now it’s turned up on the Australian classification website with an M for Mature rating, which in Australia means it’s suitable for people aged 15 and up.

We’ve seen numerous games feature the turtles over the years, but none have been a big critical success. Given Platinum Games’ track record with critically acclaimed titles like Bayonetta and Vanquish, it could be the studio to bring some real quality to the popular franchise.

No further details on the new Turtles game are available at present, but we’ve reached out to Platinum to see if it will share anything.
