As the world gathers for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Netflix will be releasing FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, exclusively on Netflix Games, starting June 11, 2026.

In this streamlined football simulation game, all players need is Netflix and their phone. It’s also included in the Netflix Games membership. Players can experience the pride of playing for their country as they step into real-life stadiums and pull off incredible plays with the world’s best athletes without ever leaving Netflix.

FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition is a new direction for FIFA football games that celebrates the emotion and joy of the sport. The experience is for up to four players, regardless of how familiar they are with video games or football.

In FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, the player’s phone is the controller, and their TV is the stadium. Players simply need to launch the game on their TV, scan the QR code with their phone, and they’ll be swiping to shoot and pass in seconds. Even someone who’s never touched a video game can get involved.

Launching alongside the kickoff of the historic FIFA Men’s World Cup on June 11, 2026. Players will be able to select any of the 48 teams in the tournament, travel to the 16 real-world stadiums, and take control of any of the 1248 players in the Cup.

The Launch Edition represents the ‘Kickoff’, a streamlined, high-energy game that will evolve over time but gives the immediate rush of playing along during this historic World Cup event.

Scroll to the ‘Games’ tab on a TV to find FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition and the rest of the games catalogue. A limited test in Brazil begins today.

Games on TV are currently available in 20 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and Brazil. More countries will roll out over time.
