Microsoft has a new Xbox One controller, and I just got one with a custom Michigan Wolverines paint job that has my khaki pants feeling tight.
At the Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show last month, Microsoft revealed its slim Xbox One S console and the revised Xbox One S controller. While the Xbox One S won’t ship until August 2, I was able to order my own customized Xbox One S controller from Microsoft’s new Xbox Design Lab site. I’m going to do a full review of this new pad, which features a new material, better sticks, and Bluetooth connectivity for the first time ever in an official Xbox controller. For now, however, why don’t you drink in the beauty of the maize and blue.
I’ll have the review of how the Xbox One S controller performs soon. I plan to go over how it feels compared to the original Xbox One gamepad, the Xbox One Elite Controller, and the DualShock 4. This input device should also work wirelessly with PCs and, potentially, some mobile smartphones and tablets. If it works well as a controller for Windows and Android games, I’ll let you know.
