Minh Le is helping Pearl Abyss get the guns right in a new game.

Minh ‘Gooseman’ Le shares how to get the guns right in shooters

Minh Le knows his guns. Nicknamed “Gooseman,” Le helped create a mod for Half-Life 2 back in 1999. It became Counter-Strike, one of the most popular online multiplayer games of all time. Today, Valve’s latest version, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, has become a huge esports title.

And after a long road as a game developer, Le is back in the shooter business. He is creative director for Pearl Abyss, the maker of Black Desert Online and owner of Eve Online maker CCP. He’s not working on those games, but he is helping with Pearl Abyss on an unannounced shooter game. His job: Help the developers get the guns right.
