Minecraft puts the 'block' in 'blockbuster' on Xbox 360: 12M copies sold (and counting)

The evidence suggests that humans really, really like snapping blocks together. Mojang’s bank account certainly supports that theory.

The developer of the block-building phenomenon Minecraft and Microsoft revealed today that fans have purchased over 12 million copies of the Xbox 360 version. That makes it one of the best-selling Xbox Live Arcade titles on the system. It also adds to the game’s total of over 35 million copies sold across all platforms — console, mobile, and PC.
