LOS ANGELES — Media Molecule is best known for the LittleBigPlanet games, and it debuted its upcoming dream maker tonight for the PlayStation 4 — Dreams.

Media Moleclue’s Alex Evans said that the company learned about digital creativity while working on its previous titles, and it put that knowledge into creating a title where players could explore the dreams of others and then create and share their own.

Dreams was designed to create the feeling of lucid dreaming. It had developers throwing out polygons to focus on sketching and collaboration. A live demonstration had a player drawing objects in a watercolor world, with morphing objects that looked like a moving painting. Like LittleBigPlanet, players will be able to use their imaginations to create games, art, music, and more.

Evans said that the company would show more of Dreams at the upcoming Paris Games Week.
