Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess launches on July 19

Capcom revealed at the Summer Game Fest showcase that its upcoming action-RPG Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess launches on PC and consoles on July 19. The game, which is inspired by Japanese folklore, launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and PC via Steam.

Kunitsu-Gami incorporates strategy elements, as player character Soh must rescue villagers by day, and must use their newfound friends to help beat back a horde call the Seethe by night. Players must balance their skills by having the villagers wear masks that grant different powers. The goal is to carve a path for the titular goddess, Yoshiro, before the Seethe overwhelms her.

The last word on Kunitsu-Gami was from the Xbox Partner Showcase earlier this year. At the time, Capcom confirmed that the game was coming out sometime in 2024. Now the game has a solid release date of July 19.
