Keywords’ Liquid Violet launches two audio facilities for game production

Liquid Violet, a Keywords Studio, has added two additional recording and mixing suites at its offices in central London.

As part of Keywords, Liquid Violet provides external development resources such as audio services to game companies. It offers a range of services that bring to life highly realistic characters for video games, live action and animated features and series, audio dramas and more.

Now, the team has announced its expansion. Based in Covent Garden, the new facilities will double Liquid Violet’s capacity and allow the team to offer additional services such as multi-actor facial capture, motion capture, and large ensemble recording.

With this new resource, Liquid Violet will enhance its current capabilities, further its reputation as a high quality creative audio production boutique and fulfill client demand for an expanding range of services in central London.

It will offer end-to-end audio services including music and sound design in partnership with Laced, another Keywords Studio.

Katie Young, studio head at Liquid Violet, said in a statement, “In the heart of London’s theatre district and surrounded by top acting talent, Liquid Violet is building the type of relaxed but creative space that inspires great work.”

Young added, “Now with two new recording and mixing suites in operation — tailored to ensemble recording and full performance capture, and designed by top acoustic consultancy, White Mark — we’ll be able to provide an even greater raft of services to our clients in the video games space and beyond, delivering exceptional voice performances and clean, transparent audio with an extensive dynamic range.”

Built in 2018, Liquid Violet’s first studio was the base for providing casting, localization, origination, and post-production services to a host of triple-A game clients. The facility has since expanded its offering to include exceptional UK dubbing and ADR, audio drama, and original voice production for animated series and films.

Drawing on their extensive creative and technical expertise, Liquid Violet has worked on titles such as Arcane (Riot), Still Wakes the Deep (The Chinese Room), Elden Ring (Frognation/FromSoftware), Diablo IV (Blizzard), Lies of P (Neowiz), Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix (Ubisoft), Xenoblade Chronicles 2&3 (Nintendo), Shasha & Milo (Zodiak Kids and Family), and All Quiet on the Western Front (Netflix).

Acquired by Keywords Studios in 2014, Liquid Violet has joined a growing raft which now totals 70-plus studios across 26 countries servicing all aspects of the global video games industry, partnering with 24 of the world’s top 25 games companies. Keywords has more than 13,000 people making games for other game companies.
