What happens when the video game you most want to play doesn’t yet exist? For Mac Reynolds, manager of the band Imagine Dragons, the answer was simple: Make it yourself.
He and his brother, lead singer Dan Reynolds, teamed up to launch their new studio, Night Street Games. Their inaugural project? A “pure” Capture the Flag game that gives players (and the Reynolds brothers) an experience no other game can provide. At GamesBeat Next 2025, Reynolds sat down with GamesBeat news writer Rachel Kaser for an episode of the BIG Show, describing the process of bringing their childhood hijinks into a video game.
Reynolds speaks about what it’s like breaking into the games industry from an adjacent space, and what the leaders of the music industry could learn from gaming (and vice versa). He also teases details about Last Flag, and how Night Street plans to differentiate it from the rest of the games with similar gameplay on the market.
