We’re getting that remake of Final Fantasy VII we always wanted, but some fans are disassembling the role-playing classic and putting it back together in an unexpected way.
Final Fantasy VII: Re-Imagined is a 2D action take on the game. PD Design Studio is making it; it created a similar-looking 2D game called Dusty Revenge. You can check out Final Fantasy VII: Re-Imagined in action below.
PD Design Studios says that a demo is coming soon, but there’s always the risk with these kinds of fan games that the original publisher will step in and shut them down. We’ll have to wait and see if Square Enix will allow PD Design Studio to actually release its game.
