Hearthstone loses viewers on Twitch as Magic: The Gathering Arena closes the gap

Blizzard Entertainment’s Hearthstone has been the king of the digital card game market since it launched in 2014. However, it’s position as the most-watched DCCG isn’t as steady as it used to be, according to influencer analytics and marketing firm Gamesight’s report on the state of the digital card game genre on Twitch.

Hearthstone has seen a big drop in its Twitch audience size. Magic: The Gathering Arena, the digital version of the popular collectible card game, has managed to grow or hold steady since it went into an open beta in 2018.
