Gfycat hits 2.5 million creators and 40 million GIFs

Gfycat has reached 2.5 million creators in the past year across 160 countries on its platform, and those creators have produced more than 40 million GIFs to date.

Animated GIFs are the silly moving images associated with Internet memes in the 31-year-old graphics interchange format. And Gfycat makes it easy for creators to create, browse, and share content. Those 2.5 million creators now reach 180 million monthly viewers.
