While the major console manufacturers and developers are gearing up for press conferences and elaborate parties, California-based charity organization Get-Well Gamers is ushering in next week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show with Comics for Kids, a comedy benefit to put games in the hands of hospitalized children all over the United States.
The event will start at 7 p.m. next Tuesday, June 5 at Suede Bar & Lounge in downtown Los Angeles and will feature comedians Rob Silva, Richard Villa, Sebastian Cetina, and Brett Riley (videos below). Get-Well Gamers will receive a portion of the proceeds to purchase video games and systems to give sick and injured kids the gift of entertainment.
Established in 2001, Get-Well Gamers’ network includes more than 140 hospitals and treatment facilities across North America. You can learn more at its website.
