Fueled by Twitch, Punch Club surpasses $2M in sales and preps The Dark Fist expansion

Punching seems like good business. But if that’s the case, why am I dealing with so many legal fees and official reprimands from GamesBeat’s human resources department?

Punching for good!

Indie publisher TinyBuild and developer Lazy Bear Games revealed today that Punch Club has surpassed $2 million in sales across all platforms. The beat-’em-up simulation game is available on PC, iOS, and Android, and players have purchased more than 250,000 copies across those devices. This comes after TinyBuild debuted Punch Club in a novel way, using integration with the popular livestreaming video site Twitch. That marketing campaign had the game unlock for everyone after popular personalities on Twitch played it in front of enough people. That strategy has paid off, and now TinyBuild and Lazy Bear are preparing some more content for the game along with some other improvements. This continued support should help the game, which is No. 32 on Google Play’s most downloaded paid-apps chart, keep its momentum.
