Top Fortnite creator Cody “Clix” Conrod wants to be the MrBeast of gaming — and he’s building a new holding company, Full Box Inc., to make this goal into a reality.

Clix has been one of the most recognizable faces in Fortnite since 2019, when he qualified for the Fortnite World Cup at age 14. Today, he’s one of the most skilled players in the history of the game — as showcased by his victory in Fortnite’s 2026 Pro-Am Creator Series tournament earlier this week — boasting a social following that numbers in the tens of millions. He’s been playable in Fortnite as an in-game outfit since March 2025. And he’s a business owner who announced the formation of his own media company, Clix Gaming, earlier this year. As it turns out, Clix Gaming is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Clix’s business goals.

Last month, GamesBeat lead news writer Alexander Lee (that’s me!) dropped into Fortnite with Clix to chat about his goals for his business — including his dream to emulate MrBeast’s success as a creator and business leader within the gaming world. For the first time ever, Clix publicly discussed his holding company Full Box Inc. and how it fits into his broader business goals — all while blasting his way to victory in a frenetic battle royale match.

My interview with Clix was part of GamesBeat’s ongoing series of in-game video interviews, which we kicked off earlier this year with Dean Takahashi’s viral interview with the creators of ARC Raiders. Watch the video below to catch the full, 27-minute conversation and gameplay video — or keep reading to get some of the key takeaways.

A visit to MrBeast’s headquarters inspired Clix to dream bigger

Clix has quietly grown his business beyond livestreaming in recent years, but it was a visit to Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson’s headquarters in North Carolina that convinced him to evolve his operation into a full-fledged media holding company. MrBeast’s company is explicitly designed as a holding-company-style business, with a constellation of business units that all operate under the creator’s control, including media production and consumer products like Feastables chocolate bars.

“He has so many businesses, aside from just posting YouTube videos and content every single day,” Clix said during the in-game interview. “I mean, he has Feastables — he has so much stuff — and I want to be that creator and get to that level, but for gaming.”

Clix Gaming is just one piece of the larger Full Box puzzle

There are a number of smaller businesses under the Full Box umbrella, including Clix’s content production team Clix Gaming, his Fortnite game development studio Clix Creative, and his apparel brand Dr3amin. The name of the holding company reflects Clix’s goal of building a media company that operates independently of his personal clout or social following.

“It’s not an esports org — this is the Clix business, and trying to build a future empire,” he said.

Clix Creative, the game development arm of Clix’s business, has taken advantage of the rise of creator-built experiences on platforms like Fortnite and Roblox. The company released its latest map, Pro League Endgame, in May. To build the experience, Clix Creative contracted a third-party development team, which he said will “hopefully soon” become a full-fledged part of the company. This Wednesday, July 22, Clix is hosting the first-ever official tournament for Pro League Endgame, offering players in North America and Europe the opportunity to compete for a share of a $10,000 prize pool.

Clix’s company keeps at least 20 mouths fed

Clix estimated that he employs roughly 20 staffers across his various businesses, including Full Box chief executive officer Darren Glover. He told GamesBeat that the biggest takeaway from expanding his businesses had been the importance of trusting one’s team and being willing to delegate important work.

“Darren was the best trust decision I’ve ever made,” Clix said. “He’s been cooking on literally everything. Pro League Endgame wasn’t my idea, right? It was Darren’s idea to cook something up that I play every single day.”

Clix and Full Box have big plans for the future

Clix’s foot is on the gas pedal to grow Full Box further in the coming year. A key element in the company’s envisioned future growth is the Dr3amin Access Fund, a charity initiative centered around Clixmas, Clix’s annual charity giveaway event. Since December 2023, Clix has hosted a multi-day holiday charity event that includes massive community giveaways, scavenger hunts, and special guest appareances, as well as partnerships with major brands like JBL. Moving forward, Clix wants to transform the Access Fund into a full-fledged, official nonprofit under the Full Box umbrella, bringing in outside investors and partners to put real money behind the effort.

“Imagine how many professional players I could help if we gave away 600 computers rather than the 60 computers I gave away in December,” Clix said. From pro gamer to media mogul: Inside Clix’s plan to become the MrBeast of gaming | exclusive in-game interview
