Friday the 13th: The Game reaches its Kickstarter goal — and team releases some game footage

Another game studio has successfully crowdfunded a gaming project — and for this one, it’s a fitting day to do so.

Gun Media has announced that its Kickstarter campaign for funding Friday the 13th: The Game has been successful (due out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2016), reaching $93,000 past their $700,000 goal. It’s being designed as an asymmetrical multiplayer experience, with one player taking the role of ghoulish psychotic Jason Voorhees, as all the other players try to avoid him representing ’80s teen stereotypes. It’s obviously a much better design idea than Friday the 13th’s other attempts to break into video games.
