Eve Online marketing chief David Reid joins Motiga, the well-financed startup creating Gigantic

David Reid, a veteran marketing executive from Eve Online creator CCP Games, has joined high-profile game startup Motiga as senior vice president of publishing. The new hire for the studio behind the free-to-play action PC game dubbed Gigantic shows the company’s ambition to build a world-class publishing infrastructure.

Reid was previously chief marketing officer at CCP Games, where he helped the decade-old Eve Online game hit 500,000 subscribers. He also helped Trion Worlds launch Rift, and he has held senior marketing positions at NCsoft, GameTap/Turner Broadcasting, and Xbox.
