Behaviour Interactive announces structural changes, lays off 95 employees

Behaviour Interactive announced today that it’s making several changes to its structure, to focus on its “historical strengths” in the face of increasing competition in the games market. According to the company, this restructuring includes changes on the corporate and operational level, and, as a result, Behaviour plans to lay off about 95 employees. 70 of those employees work in Behaviour’s Montreal office.

According to the company, its employee headcount grew from 575 to 1,300 in the last five years. Its new changes will allow the company to focus on its strengths in the horror gaming space and as a service provider to developers. It’s also exploring the possibilities of “location-based entertainment.” Behaviour says that neither its service operations nor Dead by Daylight are affected by the layoffs.
