Battlerite is getting a dose of cavemen and dinosaurs with its new Prehistoric Mania event, which goes on from today until December 12.

Battlerite is an arena brawler that’s similar to a traditional MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena), except it focuses on smaller teams and more combat. The free-to-play PC game left early access on November 8, and it is the No. 22 top game on Steam based on concurrent players, according to Steam Charts.

The event adds prehistoric-themed cosmetic content, including character poses, weapons, skins, and dinosaur mounts. You can earn these through Prehistoric Chests that you can get by completing quests. You can also buy them with in-game currency or real money.

Loot boxes have become a hot topic in gaming thanks to Star Wars: Battlefront 2, which was using the randomized drops to give players actual advantages with class buffs and better weapons. But Battlerite’s model is closer to Overwatch’s, which only gives cosmetic items in its loot boxes.
