Sony teased Alan Wake II: The Lake House.

Alan Wake II: The Lake House expansion is coming in October

Sony announced at its State of Play online event today that Remedy Entertainment is coming back this fall with new content for Alan Wake II.

Remedy showed off scenes from Alan Wake II: The Lake House, an expansion that will arrive in October. Remedy has a lot of deals to expand the content of the Alan Wake franchise, including a new deal to explore movies and TV with Annapurna Pictures.

Last week, Annapurna Interactive imploded as all 25 of its employees resigned after a failed spinout; Remedy said that its deal would continue with Annapurna Pictures.

I’m excited as the Lake House will likely shed light on new areas in the Alan Wake environment that were hinted at but unplayable in the original Alan Wake II game.

The Lake House is a mysterious facility set up on the shores of Cauldron Lake by the Federal Bureau of Control to conduct secret research… until something goes wrong. We are definitely going full horror on this one.

The Lake House will be available with the Alan Wake 2 Expansion Pass, included in the digital Deluxe Edition and the upcoming physical Deluxe and Collector’s Editions of Alan Wake 2. If you own the Standard Edition of Alan Wake 2, you will need to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition to access the expansion.
