Bethesda Softworks announced Wolfenstein: The Old Blood today. It is a standalone prequel to last year’s first-person shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order. The Old Blood costs $20 and is available on May 5 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

“Diving back into the world of Wolfenstein has really been fun for us,” said Jerk Gustafsson, executive producer at developer MachineGames, in a press release sent to GamesBeat. “We’ve enjoyed exploring the events leading up to The New Order. We think fans will really enjoy the story, all the action and, of course, jumping back into the combat with new weapons.”

The Wolfenstein series started back in 1981 with Castle Wolfenstein, a stealth-based action game for personal computers. 1992’s Wolfenstein 3D was one of the earliest first-person shooters.
