NASCAR 14

NASCAR game developer sells its stock-car racing assets to DMi

NASCAR is getting a new gaming partner.

Eutechnyx, who had worked on NASCAR games since 2010, is selling its assets for the franchise to emergent games publisher DMi, Inc.

With the brand, Eutechnyx developed titles like NASCAR ’14 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Now, future NASCAR games will come from DMi, which is based in Charlotte, N.C. That’s also the location of NASCAR’s headquarters. Eutechnyx is based in Gateshead, United Kingdom, so the franchise is coming much closer to home.

DMi is an indirectly held subsidiary of HC2 Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded diversified holding company.
