The loot cave is dead. Long live the loot cave.

The loot cave was a popular trick discovered by players inside the multiplayer shooter Destiny. It enabled them to shoot into a cave of constantly spawning enemies and easily earn new loot. Now, it has inspired a parody browser game, as originally spotted by Kotaku.

Interactive Cave Shooting Simulator has you shooting into an open cave while you quickly level up and see colorful items drop. Compared to the long grind Destiny requires for better weapons and armor, this gives you (hilariously) instant gratification.

Of course, Interactive Cave Shooting Simulator is more of a joke than an actual game. You can’t move your character, and the cave doesn’t actually spawn any enemies. Still, it’s a pretty clever bit of programming.

Destiny developer Bungie has taken down the original loot cave, but at least it lives on in this funny parody.
