Just warming up: Oculus Rift sells over 100,000 developer kits

Virtual reality is becoming gaming’s new reality.

The developer kit version of the Oculus Rift, the virtual-reality headset originally funded on Kickstarter, has sold 100,000 devices, according to Gamasutra. That’s 60,000 sold for the original DK1 version and 40,000 preorders for the DK2 kits.
