Independent developer Qloud Games has announced that its life-sim cozy solarpunk MMO Loftia will launch into Early Access on November 3, 2026, for PC and Mac, on Steam and Epic Games Store, revealed during the PC Gaming Show.

November 3 marks the official Early Access launch of Loftia after four years of development, a US$1.3 million Kickstarter backed by 17,000 players, and a series of closed Alpha and Beta playtests that helped shape the game alongside its community.

Set across a vibrant world of floating islands, Loftia is a solarpunk life-sim MMO designed around community, sustainability, creativity and human connection. Players can build a home, grow crops using sustainable farming systems, rescue animals, take on cooperative Adventures, and contribute to large-scale community projects as part of a living world that continues to grow alongside its players.

“Loftia started as a small dream. We wanted a relaxing online world we could escape to with our friends – a third space with a welcoming community, things to do, and a home we could keep on coming back to,” said Michael Su, co-founder and Studio Director of Qloud Games, in a press release.

“What we never expected was how many people around the world were looking for the same thing. Loftia has grown alongside our community from the very beginning, and reaching Early Access feels like the culmination of a four-year marathon, and the beginning of a new chapter.”

Where many MMOs center their experiences around combat and competition, Loftia focuses on cooperation and shared progress. Players live alongside one another in Neighborhoods, work together on large-scale World Projects, and interact with systems inspired by real-world sustainability – from renewable energy and hydroponics to recycling and ecology.

For players who love the teamwork of MMO dungeons and raids, Loftia offers its own cozy twist with Adventures. Instead of fighting enemies, parties work together through time-based missions featuring platforming, puzzles, exploration, and collaborative challenges.

Qloud Games was founded by a couple who left their corporate careers to pursue their dream of creating a game together. Loftia first captured widespread attention in 2023 with its record-breaking Kickstarter campaign, and since then, its community has grown to more than 700,000 followers across social media.

Community feedback has played a central role throughout development, helping shape everything from character customization and farming to social systems and the design of Loftia’s world. In May, Loftia was also named Most Anticipated Game at the 2026 Cozy Game Awards, following a vote from cozy game players all over the world.

In April 2026, almost 25,000 players participated in Loftia’s Closed Beta, giving the development team its largest opportunity yet to test the world at scale ahead of launch. Feedback from those playtests has informed the last few months of development, refinement and new content leading into Early Access.

“Our Beta playtests were an incredible milestone for us and gave us confidence that the core systems and experiences we’d been building were working as we hoped. Since then, we’ve added even more features and content, while continuing to refine the parts of the game where our players gave us the most valuable feedback,” said Martina Qin, co-founder and creative director of Qloud Games, in the same press release.

“Now, we’re finally ready to welcome our entire community into Loftia’s cozy world. There is still so much more we want to build, and we’re excited to have our players alongside us as the world continues to grow.”

Following its November 3 launch, Qloud Games will continue developing Loftia throughout Early Access, with new areas, activities, stories, social features and community-driven content planned as the world expands.
