PC gamers have shown enough interest to convince Ubisoft to release its upcoming third-person online shooter on the Windows-based platform.
The French publisher revealed today that it plans to release The Division for PC alongside the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. When the company first announced the title at the Electronic Entertainment Expo industry event in early June, it claimed it was focusing its efforts on the next-gen consoles. Ubisoft asked PC gamers to show their support by signing a petition to bring the game to PC — and over 140,000 gamers did.

The Division puts players in an online world where they can team up with other players to tackle objectives. That online world, however, also has dozens of other groups of players competing for the same objectives. Players will have to avoid or battle enemy groups in real-time shooting sequences.
