NCSoft invests big in new studio from Blizzard, Relic, and Sony Online veterans

Gaming has a new developer that is looking to make a big entrance into the free-to-play market.

Molten Games comprises former Blizzard, Relic, and Sony Online developers. It’s working on a new, unannounced free-to-play game with triple-A production values. Korean publisher NCSoft, which publishes popular games like Guild Wars 2, made a multimillion dollar equity investment in Molten but is leaving the development decisions and all ownership rights to Molten.
