What day of the week is it? Whoa, not so loud. I just came out of a two-day Red Dead Redemption bender. Beyond my name and blood type, the only thing I can remember is that this is the Reviews Spotlight…or is this Facebook? I can't tell. Whatever. Just read this stuff.
God of War Trilogy Mega Review
By Ryan Finley
The tale of Kratos has, regrettably, come to a close. But while the rest of us mourn the conclusion of our favorite hack-n-slash franchise, Ryan is just getting started. After buying the God of War Collection, this Bitmobber made the completion of all three games his ultimate goal. Does one week alone with a pasty-skinned, leathery-voiced maniac sound like fun? Probably not. Then again, Ryan's definition of "fun" should come with a disclaimer.
Bad Company 2 Review
By Nathan Andrews
Ah, Battlefield: Bad Company 2! How I miss the sleepless nights we shared. But alas, uncooperative teammates and overpowered snipers ruined what we once had. Now that we're through, feel free to date other people. No, really…I'm cool with it. In fact, allow me to introduce you to my dear pal, Random Bitmobber. He's read Nathan's review and is intent on getting to know you. Have fun, kids!
Splinter Cell: Conviction Review — You're an Angry Man, Sam
By Patrick Cavasar
Someone once told me that when anger management isn't an option, you should try hunting down and torturing federal officials. A normal person would laugh at such a suggestion. Fortunately, Sam Fisher has never been very normal. Haunted by the death of his daughter, his betrayal at hands of former friends, and an incessant migraine, this superagent has a lot worth complaining about. But do Sam's personal anxieties detract from the overall experience of Splinter Cell: Conviction or improve it? Patrick finds out.
Rocket Knight — Nostalgia You Didn't Know You Had
By Suriel Vasquez
Do you ever get the feeling that a game shouldn't be fun, but it somehow manages to entertain you? Between the ham-fisted mechanics and rehashed features, Rocket Knight seems to be the sum of wholly uninspired variables. Yet, Suriel can't stop playing. Care to explain this anomaly? Check out the game or simply read this review.
Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake — Lonely Cake Fortress
By Suriel Vasquez
A self-proclaimed pro at Fat Princess, Suriel sits atop a throne of baked goods. Unwilling to surrender the title of king, he bought Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake with the intention of reestablishing his supremacy. Have the eyebrow-raising antics of the overweight princess remained charming or gone stale?
Splinter Cell: Conviction Review
By Kendell Cassidy
Convinced that Sam Fisher is more badass than a group of ninjas (I wholeheartedly disagree), Kendell didn't think twice before buying Splinter Cell: Conviction. But hold the phones! Unlike the last hundred reviewers, he didn't regret his purchase. To be fair, I'm not surprised by the widespread criticism of Convictoin. After all, it focuses on a very unexciting theme: regrets. Read this review, however, and you won't have any.
For What it's Worth: Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
By Ryan Conway
A part of me wishes I could see Ryan as he fumbles through the bargain bin, looking for an appealing game to review. Do people stare at you when you choose to buy games like Lunar: Dragon Song, Ryan? Well, we all appreciate the awkwardness you endure on our behalf. Luckily, this week's title isn't all bad! For a Nintendo game I've never heard of, how does Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga fare under Ryan's scrutinous eyes? Check out the full review.
